Join Lady Renee Flowers of Transformation Community Church for this week’s Winning Women Wednesday, where she talks about “God Is”. We hope you’ll be blessed by this timely and inspirational message. Many blessings!
Who is God? What a question right? Well to answer this question, we need to start by looking in the word of God. What does the word of God say about who He is?
1 John 4:8 He who does not love does not know God for God is love
1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man, but God is faithful
1 John 1:5 This is the message which we have heard from him and declared to you that God is light and in him there is no darkness at all
Numbers 23:19 God is not a man that he should lie nor a son of man that he should repent. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?
Psalm 116:5 The Lord is gracious and righteous, our God is full of compassion
Psalm 84:11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield, the Lord will give grace and favor, no good things does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.
So, from these few passages of scripture we learn that God is love, God is faithful, God is light, and in Him there is no darkness.
God is not a man that he should lie, God is a sun and shield, and God is merciful.
We serve a living God, an awesome and all-powerful God. God reveals himself in His word. And we come to know who He is by
first accepting Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, because Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life and no one comes to the father except through him. And we also, come to know who He is by reading His word. The bible speaks about God in the present tense: God is good and is full of compassion, God is light, God is love, He gave his only begotten son, Jesus Christ so that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Repeatedly the bible tells us who God is, and we should be strengthened and encouraged by the fact that our God is a living God.
The one and only true living God, and that is something to be grateful for. He is the Great I am, God almighty.
We must respect His word, we must reverence Him for his glorious/mighty works, we must adore Him for being so powerful but so tender and caring towards us.
