The Priceless Promise
There are over 3,000 Promises in the Bible
Genesis 1:26 (NKJV)
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion (authority) over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
Humans are the most powerful people on Earth
God only gave legal authority on Earth to humans
What is a human?
First thing you have to understand is that you don’t have a spirit; you ARE a spirit
Say… I am a spirit
Second thing you have to understand is that you live in a dirt body; 100% dirt
So a human is a spirit being in a dirt body
When God created the human race, He put the spirit being in a dirt body
You ARE a spirit, live in a body, and possess a soul
Then God said to the human, “have dominion (or authority) over the Earth; let them have authority over the Earth”
“Them” are humans; a spirit in a dirt body
The ONLY being that has legal rights (or authority) on earth to function given by God to dominate is a spirit in a dirt body
Say… God’s word can never change
Any spirit without a dirt body is illegal on earth; that’s why I need for you to understand “The Priceless Promise” very well
If you don’t understand this concept, “The Priceless Promise” will remain a mystery to you (which is the incarnation of Jesus Christ)
Carnation is another word for “carnal;” carnal means dirt
Incarnation means a spirit in a dirt
So again, ANY spirit without a dirt body is illegal on earth
God is a spirit; God chose to make himself illegal on Earth
God said, let them have authority over the earth; he said, “LET THEM”, not “LET US”; he didn’t include himself
God did not have a dirt body, He gave that to us
Then God created a law or a covenant that said, “let them have dominion over the Earth.”
When God speaks, every word he says becomes law and God himself will never violate his own law. That’s why His word is true
God needs humans to get things done on earth so that he doesn’t break his own law; His word it true; He will not break his word
God needs you to perform in order to get His work done!
Tell your neighbor – I need to perform
Now let me ask you a rhetorical question that I’ve often asked myself…
When Eve was about to pick the fruit, why didn’t He just stop her?
He could have saved us all right at that moment; kept us all from sin
But He couldn’t because He would have violated his word
Now let’s explain the devil; he is a spirit, so he is illegal on earth, right?
He wants to do bad business on earth, but he needs a body
So he goes to the serpent; the serpent is 100% dirt
He says, “loan me your body so that I can do business with Eve” and the serpent complied
The whole human race was about to fall
God could not get involved because He made a covenant with us and He will not go back on his word; and the devil knew it
The devil was glad when God said, “let them have dominion” because he knew God was faithful to his word
What happened next… the entire human race collapsed; we became disconnected from God; better known as the Fall from Grace
Read Genesis 3:15 (NASB)
And I will make enemies of you and the woman,
And of your offspring and her Descendant; He shall bruise you on the head, and you shall bruise Him on the heel.”
God in Genesis 3:15 says to Satan… Now you know I cannot come in. I cannot come in as a spirit because I will go against my word and I don’t have a body, but He made a promise to the devil.
He says I promise you “the same woman you used to mess this up, I going to use this same woman, she is going to give me a body, I’m going to come in legally and I’m going to bust your head to the white meat.
That is “The Priceless Promise”
Now you know why God had to become a man…in the form of Jesus!
Give God a hand… Ain’t He good!!
That’s why we read in Isaiah 7:14 (NLT)
All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’).
Im – which means in
Man – which means mankind
El – Elohim
God inside a man’s body… Give God a shout for Immanuel!!
