"Gratitude"

Gratitude: The state/quality of being grateful; thankfulness; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.

Glorifies God~ As we exalt God, gratitude helps us realize all we have comes from God.

2 Corinthians 4:15 And as God’s grace reaches more and more people, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory.

~Opens our spiritual eyes- the more we thank him, the more we see him working in us and around us;  helps us sense God’s presence

James 1:16-17 Do not be deceived me beloved brothers. Every good and perfect gift comes from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights.

~ Allows us to be in God’s will~

Part of His will for us is to be obedient, thankful, and not just when things are well, even more so during those hard times.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus

~Brings Peace
~ Counting our blessings, helps us to see God’s hand all over our circumstances. God tells us when we give Him our thanks, He gives us supernatural peace.

Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
