Let Go, and Let God

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5–6 (NIV)

Surrender is not weakness—it’s worship. In a world that tells us to take control, God invites us to release it.
Surrendering to the Lord involves relinquishing self-centered control and placing complete trust in God’s will, plan and purpose for our lives.

When we surrender to the Lord, we are trusting in his goodness and sovereignty.

The choice of surrendering to the Lord is not to be viewed as a sign of weakness, but rather as a demonstration of faith, humility and obedience, which leads to spiritual freedom and fulfillment.

We are placing our hopes, fears, and uncertainties into the hands of the One who sees the whole picture of our lives and loves us perfectly.

There is peace in surrender because we’re no longer trying to carry a burden we were never meant to bear alone.
Whether you’re facing a life transition, waiting for an answer, or carrying a hidden weight in your heart, God is saying: “You can trust Me.”

Jesus Himself modeled surrender when He said,

“Not My will, but Yours be done” (Luke 22:42).

When we follow His example, we discover that surrender opens the door to divine strength, clarity, and peace.

Reflection Question:

What area of your life are you still trying to control that God is asking you to surrender today?

Prayer:

Lord, I surrender my plans, my worries, and my will to You. Help me trust that Your way is always better—even when I don’t understand.

Lead me in the path You’ve prepared and teach me to rest in Your love. In Jesus’ name, amen.
