"We are not forsaken"

Have you ever placed your trust in something or someone that let you down? It can be discouraging to discover that you’ve misjudged a person or situation. It can also make you a little reluctant to trust again.

Psalm 9:10 Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.

This prayer/passage of scripture of David’s is an awesome/beautiful reminder of the trustworthiness of our God. And while we can’t and won’t know everything about God, there are some things He allows us to know about him. The scripture tells us that those who know God will put their trust in Him. Having the knowledge of God leads to us trusting him. By getting to know God, we his people get to witness the trustworthiness of His character. We are to see that he never forsakes, forgets, or abandon those who know and seek him.

We come to know God by spending time in prayer and studying/meditating on His word. And as we get to know Him more, we can see the evidence that He does not forsake those who seek Him.

We’ll discover that those who seek Him will find Him, and those who knock the door will be opened.

Matthew 7:7-8 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

God is the unshakeable Rock of our Salvation. He is trustworthy and will never forsake those who seek Him.
